Be Patient...He's in control.

(God's Word Translation). 1 Peter 5:  ⁷Turn all your anxiety over to God because he cares for you. ⁸Keep your mind clear, and be alert. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion as he looks for someone to devour. ⁹Be firm in the faith and resist him, knowing that other believers throughout the world are going through the same kind of suffering. ¹⁰God, who shows you his kindness^[b] and who has called you through Christ Jesus to his eternal glory, will restore you, strengthen you, make you strong, and support you as you suffer for a little while. ¹¹Power belongs to him forever. Amen.

Focus on God. Be alert to what He brings my way. The devil is after me and I am not alone. God has a call on my life. He will restore me according to His plans but He won't leave me as I go through this trial. He is in control. 

Patience.
My word for this year...the word I will focus on, the act I will become better at doing. My improvement will not happen overnight. It will be slow and subtle; but this time next year it will clearly be noticeable and accomplished. I will have more patience with my family, in dealing with my own faults, and in ignoring the things I cannot change.  Gaining perspective of this new friend, once seen as my enemy may be a bigger challenge than obtaining my nursing degrees. The journey has only just begun.
